The holidays can be a crazy time, but if actress, director, producer, and mother-of-two Elizabeth Banks can survive them, then anyone can! In an EXCLUSIVE interview with HollywoodLife.com, Elizabeth gives her best advice on how to get through the season.
Elizabeth Banks, 41, is preparing for the holiday season just like anyone, especially after a whirlwind 2015 with the success of Pitch Perfect 2 and the end of The Hunger Games franchise. Taking a moment to chat EXCLUSIVELY with HollywoodLife.com, she shared some tips on how to make it passed the holiday chaos and even dished on who is at the very top of her #ThankList.
“Plan ahead,” Elizabeth Banks told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY when asked to share survival tips for the holiday season. Quite frankly, that’s the best advice anyone could give — and we are definitely appreciative!
However, we sat down to talk to Elizabeth about her work with American Greetings’ #ThankList project, which is like making a “bucket list” of people you want to show your gratitude towards in hopes of helping the world become a better, more caring place. So, with that being said, who is Elizabeth most excited to send a thank you to this season?
“Melinda Ledbetter, who gave me a part of her life to play in ‘Love & Mercy,’ the film about Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys,” Elizabeth explained EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com. How sweet is that? If you haven’t seen Love & Mercy yet, you should definitely check it out by clicking HERE.
Elizabeth also shared that her work with American Greetings and the #ThankList campaign. “As a reaction to the negativity, trolling and haters I see online, I connected to the message of gratitude and positivity that American Greetings wanted to spread. I want to spread it too! Plus, using #ThankList on social to express gratitude but also to donate to the United Way is easy and rewarding.”
It’s true! If you share your #ThankList on social media using that very hashtag, the United Way will donate $1 to help prevent hunger. It’s an easy way to spread some cheer and do good this holiday season, which is why Elizabeth is encouraging so many others to give it a try.
And don’t worry, Pitch Perfect fans…. HollywoodLife.com inquired about the third film and when it would start filming, to which Elizabeth coyly shared “next year.” However, when it comes to casting updates, the director kept her lips sealed shut! Hey, at least we tried.
