Steve Harvey wants to press his luck. The T.V. host doesn’t want to be remembered as the man who screwed up the 2015 Miss Universe pageant and is determined to host it again to get it right! Read on for all the EXCLUSIVE details.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression! But Steve Harvey, 58, at least has a chance to make things right. After his epic fail announcing the wrong winner of the 2015 Miss Universe pageant, the Family Feud star is determined to host once more to get it right, HollywoodLife.com is EXCLUSIVELY reporting.
Steve’s still feeling all the negative attention surrounding his mistake and it’s killing him to the core. The comedian thought that by now, the joke would be over, but he’s continued to be mocked on the airwaves, the internet and social media. But even still, the eccentric dresser wants another chance to get it right.
“He wants a chance to redeem himself. He can’t go out like this and wants a Miss Universe do-over,” a source close to the television host reveals to HollywoodLife.com. “He desperately wants to host the pageant again so he can restore integrity to his name and pride in the pageant.”
And it turns out, Steve wish will hopefully come true! On Dec. 22, Deadline.com reports that Steve is in fact, welcome to host next years pageant in Belize. Chief Content Officer at WME|IMG(the company that owns the Miss Universe Organization), Mark Shapiro, said the funny man is “very remorseful” over the mishap and is “absolutely” welcome to take on hosting duties again 2016. Mark even goes further, saying Steve “did a great job. He was funny, he was informative, he’s high energy, he’s got a great following. … I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself!”
Alright Steve, go get em! But next year, let’s maybe let’s be more careful. As TMZ reported, the Kings Of Comedy alum was seen gambling and drinking just hours prior to show. Perhaps that wasn’t the smartest, choice given the egregious error he committed. Poor Steve! And as HollywodLife.com first told you, he’s ashamed of himself. “Steve is mortified,” another source EXCLUSIVELY conveyed to HollywoodLife.com. “He’s in disbelief. He screwed up big time. Steve is usually an upbeat, funny man who’s always smiling and laughing. But this isn’t a laughing matter. He feels bad for himself, but more important, for Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines.”
HollywoodLifers, should Steve get a second shot at hosting? Let us know!
