Uh oh! A shocking new report reveals that the Latina contestants from the 2015 Miss Universe Pageant are blaming Miss Philippines for Steve Harvey’s embarrassing error.
Miss Philippines should be celebrating her 2015 Miss Universe win, but unfortunately it seems she’s feeling the burn of her fellow contestants instead. New details have emerged from behind-the-scenes, revealing that the Latina contestants are rallying behind Miss Colombia despite her accidental crowning.
When Steve Harvey somehow misread the actual winner of the 2015 Miss Universe Pageant, it became one of the most talked about moments in pageant history. Unfortunately, some of the contestants refuse to let Steve take the blame for crowning and then quickly de-crowning Miss Colombia, reports TMZ.
The report explains that many of the Latina contestants — including Miss Puerto Rico, Miss Costa Rica, Miss Mexico, and more — quickly rallied around the devastated Miss Colombia as Miss Philippines basked in her pageant glory. It also claims that once all of the contestants returned backstage that many of them were “grousing” that this upsetting error was actually all Miss Philippines fault, not Steve’s. Even Miss Germany has blasted Miss Philippines for her win, unfortunately.
Apparently, Colombia and Philippines have a long standing feud between them in the Miss Universe Pageant history, the report reads. While that might be true, it’s still no excuse to blame the innocent victim of a human error for the drama. Sadly, Miss Philippines is still concerned her crown may be taken away.
In case you missed it, HollywoodLife.com‘s Editor-In-Chief Bonnie Fuller wrote all about the slip up and explained why she believes both Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines deserved to take home the crown after Steve’s error. You can read her piece HERE.
