Even if you haven’t seen ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ yet, you still know that it’s a damn shame that Adam Driver’s face is covered up for most of the movie up with a mask. But he’s not the only one!
Over the years, whether it’s superhero movies or horror classics, a lot of really attractive men have had their faces hidden by a mask — at least for part of a movie. Adam Driver is the latest stunner to put on a mask in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the insanely scary villain, Kylo Ren. So, here’s a gallery of the best looking men who are covered up, or as I like to call it: the faces behind the masks.

After seeing Star Wars, I had a lot of feelings — one main one being why the heck was Adam’s face under that mask for most of the movie? Well, then I got to thinking. Christian Bale, one of the most attractive men in film history, was hidden for three Batman movies, while playing the superhero that is the star. Yes, we got to see and love him as Bruce Wayne, but why ever cover up such a beautiful mug?
Speaking of, the villain in The Dark Knight Rises was the glorious Tom Hardy. His face is sometimes also covered with a beard, but in TDKR, he was literally wearing a muffler on his face and we couldn’t see him — at all. I actually know people who didn’t even know that was him until half way through the movie. Hats off to his acting, but that’s beside the point.
Another one is coming up, and while we’ve only seen the trailers so far, let’s just say it looks like Ryan Reynolds entire face and body is covered for a whole lot of Deadpool. Listen, in Green Lantern, his eyes were covered and even that was too much. Am I right?
