Uh oh. R. Kelly was pissed when HuffPost Live questioned him about his fondness for underage girls. So much so that he walked off the set during the interview. Watch the tense moment unfold in the explosive new video here!
During a recent interview with HuffPost Live, host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani asked R. Kelly, 48, the tough questions, specifically about his checkered past with underage girls and love for sex. The singer, who was just trying to promote his new album The Buffet, felt as though he was being interrogated and instead of answering the questions, complimented the host on her beauty and then walked off set. It’s pretty crazy. Watch the video here!
The interview took a turn for the worse when the host asked R. Kelly why he thinks he new album flopped. She mentioned how his fans are conflicted and have a hard time not thinking about the multiple lawsuits and allegations about sexual assault.
Kelly responded by saying, “Since you’re the one who brought it up, I’ll say to you, since I don’t hear it from anyone else. F–k that. I’m a man that believes what I see. And everywhere I go, from malls to restaurants, overseas and back, everywhere I’ve been, I get nothing but love. Now, unless all of those people are tricking me and acting … like it’s a surprise, I’m going to believe what I see.”
R. Kelly then got an attitude with the host and said his concerts are always sold out.
“Let me do my job,” Caroline told R. Kelly before referring to tweets from fans. “People are conflicted. I’m reading some of the tweets here.”
“I didn’t come here for negative, I came here for positive,” the singer retorted. And then he warned the host, “If any other negativity comes out of your mouth, I’m going to get up and walk out.” And that he did. Watch the full exchange in the video above.
