Tina Fey and Amy Poehler took on Taylor Swift’s squad with their own ‘Dope Squad’ on the Dec. 19 episode of ‘SNL.’ Their ‘Bad Blood’ parody is the stuff of legends. Click to WATCH!
Watch out, Taylor Swift. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s “Dope Squad” is coming for you. The Dec. 19 SNL hosts spoofed Tay’s “Bad Blood” video and showed off their own epic squad, which includes Amy Schumer and Gayle King!
After being asked at a press junket for Sisters how they juggle their careers and kids, Tina and Amy admit they have a squad who gets them through it all. But Tina, 45, and Amy, 44, want you to know: their squad is not full of starlets and models.
Their squad is something much, much different. Their twist on Taylor’s video is downright hilarious. Dressed in sexy post-apocalyptic gear, Tina’s Powderkeg, the T-Swift of the group. Amy’s Shortfuse, rocking some serious Selena Gomez-style short hair from the video.
Tina and Amy’s squad includes their nannies, Tina’s mammogram technician, their gynecologist, Gayle, 60, Amy, 34, and Robert Downey Sr., 79. Aidy Bryant’s character joins the squad after this ridiculously funny rap solo: “A queen ain’t a queen just for sitting on a throne/ She need a whole damn crew/ She can’t do it alone.”
The “Dope Squad” video recreates all the best moments from Taylor’s music video. From Aidy busting through a wall to the snow scene to that final strut with the squad at the end, Tina and Amy clearly did their homework. And this isn’t the first time Tina and Amy have mocked Tay. If you’ll recall, they told Taylor, 26, to “stay away from Michael J. Fox’s son” at the 2013 Golden Globes!
