We know that ‘American Crime Story’ will chronicle O.J. Simpson’s case, but we didn’t see it going here. Prepare yourself, this is a dark video.
“Do not kill yourself in Kimmy’s room,” David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian says in the just released promo for FX’s American Crime Story. The “Kimmy” that he is referring to is of course Kim Kardashian, and when he enters the purple bedroom, Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson is the corner, up against the wall holding a gun. There, he yells at him to hand over the gun.

O. J. Simpson”]
The new trailer also features a ton of footage we’ve already seen of the Ryan Murphy show that will show the side of OJ’s famous case that most of us aren’t aware of. Sarah Paulson plays Marcia Clark, while John Travolta plays attorney Robert Shapiro; Courtney B. Vance plays Johnnie Cochran; Selma Blair plays a (then) Kris Kardashian; and Connie Britton plays Faye Resnick.
“I had no idea who [Robert] was,” David Schwimmer revealed during The Bill Carter Interview on Dec. 16, reports the Daily Mail. “It was a mystery to me. And I was really intrigued, especially given what the Kardashian name means to people today.” The Friends star also went on to say that people will learn “Robert was a very different person… And also a man of great faith, which I didn’t know at all.”
David also shed light that in 1994-1995 when he watched the car chase followed by the trail, he didn’t know anything really about the case — “except as Sarah [Paulson] was saying, what the media kind of fed you.” And of course, we have to agree with that.
The People Vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story premieres Tuesday, Feb. 2, on FX. Will you be watching? Let us know!
