That smile won’t be wiped off Jordan Smith’s face for a LONG time! ‘The Voice’ winner broke his silence on Instagram Dec. 16, after being crowned champion one day earlier, by sharing a photo of himself with his shiny new trophy. Check it out!
Jordan Smith isn’t letting his Voice trophy out of his sight! In fact, from his post-show Instagram photo, it appears he even slept with the brand new hardware on the night of his big win. Check out the photo of him snuggling up to the prize right here!
In the bedroom selfie, Jordan looks so relaxed while resting in bed, with his trophy neatly tucked in beside him. “Good morning, beautiful,” he captioned the pic, simply. It was the 22-year-old’s first post on the social media site after his big win, and there was nothing more he needed to say!
The Voice has been criticized for failing to create big stars, but Jordan’s coach, Adam Levine, is hoping this is the year that changes. “There have been shortcomings on the other side of the fence. Shocking or surprising — it’s true!” he told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Jordan has had so much more success on iTunes than most artists ever have. I lost count of the No. 1 hits he has had. This is a no-brainer and the kid is so special. Musically, talent-wise, and the person he is — he deserves it! We bring everyone to this beautiful point and the record label now has the chance to do right for Jordan Smith. Right Republic Records? You will do right for Jordan Smith!”
Indeed, Jordan completely owned the iTunes charts for his entire run on the show, so he’s already proven that his voice can sell. It’s definitely in the label’s hands now! Meanwhile, there’s no doubt that Blake Shelton is going to work with his artist, runner-up Emily Ann Roberts, to jumpstart her career — he’s already done so for several past contestants on his own team who are now making waves in the country music scene.
But Adam is still stoked that a contestant from his team won the title…because he and Blake have been at war over winning since the show’s very first season! “It felt so good [to beat Blake,]” he said in a press conference. “I’m going to enjoy this night. It’s really quite beautiful because Jordan gets to win The Voice and I get to tear Blake apart for the next six months, bragging about my win and his drought of victory. It’s going to be great!” Check out Adam’s band, Maroon 5’s, latest album RIGHT HERE.
