There’s a simple explanation to why there’s bad blood between Deadmau5 and Skrillex: Justin Bieber! Deadmau5 went on a rant berating that little ‘meat puppet’ for taking all the credit for ‘Purpose!’ Click through to watch!
Deadmau5, 34, made it very clear that he’s no fan of Justin Bieber, 21, in a rant on posted to his YouTube channel on December 16. To Deadmau5, Justin didn’t have anything to do with making his new album Purpose a hit, so that “meat puppet,” as he so eloquently puts it, shouldn’t be taking the credit. You have to click through to watch this epic video!
“I can accept that his album is probably good, I have no qualms with that,” Deadmau5 says in the video. “I know decent production when I hear it. That’s not what I’m mad about. What I’m mad about is that none of it is this little f–king d–khead’s. You get what I’m saying? ‘This is my album.’ No, it’s not your f–king album. It’s Skrillex’s f–king album. It’s f–king god-knows-who’s album.”
“It’s this guy’s album, and then you going ‘hum ha hum ha.’ Not even to s–t you even f–king wrote,” Deadmau5 continued. “It f–king took you four other f–king guys to write that, too. You’re just a little meat puppet, dude. And that’s what irritates me; that’s what gets my f–king goat.” If you love Purpose anyway, you can buy the album RIGHT HERE!
Okay, so you’re upset Deadmau5! The EDM producer and Skrillex have been exchanging blows on Twitter for the past six months, confusing their fans about the origins of their fight. Deadmau5 explains that he doesn’t actually have a problem with his (now former) friend, but with the collaborative work he’s done with Justin. He called their hit “Where Are Ü Now,” some “sh-t” back in June 2015, after its release. This obviously angered Jack Ü (Skrillex and Diplo‘s group), and they shot back at Deadmau5, calling him a “washed up a–hole.” Yikes!
Deadmau5 expressed that he doesn’t have a problem with Purpose, per say; he thinks it’s a great album, but Justin shouldn’t be lauded for what he believes is little work contributing to its sound. “I can credit you, to be able to hold a pitch on two syllables throughout an entire 75-minute long f–king album. If that’s the credit you deserve, that’s the credit you get,” he said of Justin.
