May the force be with you! A new promo for Samantha Bee’s new comedy show, which parodies ‘Star Wars,‘ has been released, and it’s pretty epic. The ‘Daily Show’ correspondent hilariously encounters a group of aliens while trying to tell them all about her new satire, ‘Full Frontal With Samantha Bee.’ Watch!
Flying into the galaxy at just the right time, a Star Wars parody promo for Full Frontal With Samantha Bee — a new comedy show starring Samantha Bee, 46 — was released Dec. 15. The hilarious video features Samantha attempting to tell a room filled with aliens about the comedy coming to TBS in February, while failing miserably at using a light saber — watch the video here!
“The wait is over, a new warrior joins the battle,” says a deep voice as the video begins. Then, in flies none other than Samantha herself, giving several extraterrestrial life forms a sigh as she, apparently, is less of an intimidating warrior than they were expecting. “Hi everyone, it’s me, Samantha Bee!” she says.
Samantha describes Full Frontal as a “smart satire about world events.” And if her past gigs are any indicator of what the show will be like, then it’s sure to be a hit. The funny woman began her career as a member of an all-female sketch comedy troupe known as Atomic Fireballs. She later joined The Daily Show’s “Best F#@king News Team” in 2003.
The Star Wars themed promo was just as funny as the first video released for the show, where Samantha poked fun at the lack of female comedians on late night shows. With Star Wars: The Force Awakens opening Dec. 18, the video was also quite appropriately timed.
