Michelle Obama is keeping this amazing holiday tradition alive. The First Lady holiday put a bunch of smiles on a room full of sick children by reading a very special Christmas book to them. That’s not all — Michelle even spilled the beans on what gifts she would be giving her family members!

Michelle Obama, 51, went to the Children’s National Health System’s holiday event to spread some holiday cheer to sick little kids on Dec. 14. The First lady was joined by her two fur babies — dogs Bo and Sunny as she read “Twas the Night Before Christmas” to patients.

Michelle delighted sick little boys and girls when she showed up to the main atrium with first dogs Bo and Sunny to read the classic Christmas story, “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” before a fun active Q&A with the children. “It’s such a delight to our patients and their families, particularly those who aren’t able to celebrate the holidays at home, to have Mrs. Obama visit them and spread the holiday cheer,” David Wessel, the hospital’s executive vice president and chief medical officer, told Abc News.

One young girl asked the FLOTUS a big question: “Can you help me get into Harvard?” To that, Michelle responded: “You’ve got to study hard. You’ve got to read a lot of books. You have to do your homework every day.” Keep in mind that both Michelle and Barack have law degrees from Harvard. Another little participant asked Michelle what she would be giving her hubby this Christmas. “Another President Christmas-present question,” the first lady responded while laughing. “All right, press, don’t tell him. He’s going to get some workout stuff. It’s not going to be very interesting this year, honey. Sorry.” Too funny. She then asked the child what they think Mr. Obama would want, and the answer is actually very practical — ties.

As for the presidential pups, Bo and Sunny — they were extra good this year and will be given tons of goodies. “They get lots of new toys and treats. They get presents every year,” Michelle told the kids. “They were very nice [this year]. They have been very good dogs. I mean, Sunny sometimes can be naughty. Because you know what she does sometimes? She leaves the kitchen and she’ll sneak, and she’ll go poop on the other end of the White House.” Hilarious!
