Whoa! Madonna fans got an earful from the queen of pop after she went off on them during her Dec. 14 Manchester Arena show in the U.K. The singer lost her cool after the concert goers booed her for being an hour late to the stage — watch the rant here!
Madonna, 57, lit into her fans when they showed their anger towards the singer for being tardy to her Dec. 14 performance at the Manchester Arena. After over an hour delay due to technical difficulties, the crowd was uneasy and booed the singer once she finally got on stage. In response, the vocalist held nothing back in a wild tirade, even telling her fans to “shut the f**k up.”
“I’m not back there eating chocolate, filing my nails and getting my extensions done alright?” Madonna screamed at the concert’s attendees after they greeted her with boos. “The video crashed. We had no video and we had to wait until we could reboot. No selfish diva b**** reason. If you diva b****es want to keep complaining about it don’t come to my show.”
Talk about a freak out! The Manchester Arena, which holds 22,000 people, opened its’ doors at 6:30pm for the show and Madonna was scheduled to start her Rebel Heart Tour performance at 9pm. However, the “Material Girl” singer didn’t show up until after 10pm. When fans heard about the delay to the performance, they took to Twitter to show their disapproval. Numerous music lovers even walked out of the venue in anger.
Madonna, who has been described as a perfectionist, clearly does not take lateness lightly. Back in September 2015, the Grammy award winner reprimanded one of her back up dancers for not being on time to a rehearsal. To make the dancer pay, Madonna made him kiss her feet! The dancer, unsure of whether it was a joke or not, did what she ordered.
It’s safe to say people won’t be messing with Madonna anytime soon! HollywoodLifers, what do you think? Did the singer go too far or was she right to rant? Let us know below!
