Lindsay Lohan Fires Back After Jennifer Lawrence’s ‘Late Show’ Diss

Tue, December 15, 2015 8:48pm EDT by 6 Comments

Lindsay Lohan defended herself, with the help of her family, after fellow actress, Jennifer Lawrence, made a hurtful joke aimed at the star. During Jennifer’s recent ‘Late Show’ appearance, she used Lindsay’s name when referring to physical exhaustion, but in a not so nice way.

While it’s no secret that Lindsay Lohan, 29, has struggled with alcohol and drugs in the past, that doesn’t mean she’ll allow herself to be belittled because of it. The actress took to Twitter to stand up for herself after Jennifer Lawrence, 25, commented on the star’s physical activities during a visit to the Late Show. See why Jennifer has a few less fans below!

During her appearance on the show, J.Law talked to Stephen Colbert about how exhausting her demanding job as an actress can be. She admitted that she works her body to a breaking point saying, “I don’t stop working because I’m a show pony. I don’t have a choice. So I just keep going until my body is like ‘If we don’t make her barf or pass out, she won’t stop.’ I get, like, Lindsay Lohan–grade exhaustion but without any drugs or alcohol. I’m always in bed early. I’m still tired.”

The comment, while probably meant as a harmless joke, warranted an unhappy response from the Mean Girls actress and her protective fam. Aliana Lohan, Lindsay’s younger sister tweeted, “I never breathe life into negativity but I stand by my family. Disappointed in Jennifer Lawrence. You lost a fan.”

Mama bear also came out with Dina Lohan, Lindsay’s mom, saying, “We love Jennifer Lawrence, we have always been fans of hers. It was all unfortunate that she used Lindsay as a reference of not showing up to set, and that whole bit,” in a statement to Entertainment Tonight.

Lindsay herself fired back saying, “@aliana thank you sister.. Maybe who you’re referring to should learn to support others like #mayaangelou” accompanied with a picture of the Maya Angelou quote, “You may shoot me with your words, you may cut me with your eyes, you may kill me with your hatefulness, but still, like air, I’ll rise.”

Looks like things are heating up! What do you think HollywoodLifers, should J.Law apologize to Lindsay? Give us your opinion below.
