Celebrities can do cosplay, too! The ‘Star Wars’ premiere in LA on Dec. 14 was full of huge stars showing of their love for the force, by wearing costumes of course. Joseph Gordon-Levitt actually won the night by dressing as Yoda, and well, it was everything.
From Princess Leia-esque buns and David Webb jewels, on the newly-married Sofia Vergara, to green face paint on Joseph Gordon-Levitt, it wasn’t just the stars of Star Wars: The Force Awakens who turned heads on the red carpet on Hollywood Boulevard for the world premiere. Luckily, we’ve gathered up all the stars who decided to go fully with the force for their premiere looks. Click through our gallery!
Joseph, 34, showed up on the carpet in a very dapper white bathrobe over green Yoda PJ pants, a green beanie… and green face paint. Needless to say, he stood out like only Yoda can on the carpet, and totally won over the night. He even wore little green ears! Love it, I do!
JGL wasn’t the only Star Wars fan who showed up honoring the movie with their outfit — Rainn Wilson dressed up as what he called a “Chubby Jedi” while his son, Walter wore an adorable Boba Fett helmet. Even Peter Mayhew, AKA Chewbacca, was rocking a lightsaber cane!
Many of the ladies of the night also honored the film by recreating Princess Leia’s famous hair style: the two buns. Sofia Vergara kept her look simple with a black dress and left all the focus on her buns (and her two hottest accessories: her hubby Joe Manganiello and her diamond ring). Karrueche Tran, also wore tiny little buns, while Lupita N’Yongo put a little twist on the classic look — she had one oversized bun, surrounded by five mini buns!
