Coldplay turned up the stage at during ‘The Voice’ season finale and it was awesome! Chris Martin and the rest of the British rockers put on quite the performance for the audience and finalists. Things got a bit hairy if you ask us!
England’s native sons Coldplay took the stage on Dec. 15 to get the crowd pumped for The Voice season finale. Chris Martin and his trusty bandmates played “Adventure of a Lifetime” for the audience and it was interesting.
Coldplay delivered a pretty amazing version of their latest hit single, “Adventure of a Lifetime,” off their seventh studio album, A Head Full of Dreams. Chris tore up the stage with a group of gorillas and it was quite the psychedelic performance.
These hunky rockers aren’t strangers to performing on the show. Last season they took the stage to play their hit song “A Sky Full of Stars” and received nothing but love for it — just like tonight!
This performance comes right on the heels of their Superbowl announcement. Coldplay beat out a bunch of acts who were allegedly interested in playing Super Bowl 50. Britney Spears was reportedly in talks to play the football extravaganza, as were Taylor Swift and even Adam Levine‘s band, Maroon 5. There were reports that One Direction would even postpone their hiatus to turn it up at Super Bowl 50, but it’s a different British band that secured the top billing spot.
