Lamar Odom is still battling his tragic brain injury on a daily basis, and it’s going to be a very long road to recovery. While he is improving slowly, he still sometimes even forgets his name, a report says. We have the scoop.
Lamar Odom, 36, has been making great strides since his accident on Oct. 13 that could have easily left him dead, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to be back to normal anytime soon. A new report says he sometimes forgets even his own name. Here’s what we know.
Lamar is lucky to be alive after his alleged tragic accidental overdose on Oct. 13, but that doesn’t mean he has it easy. Every single day is a battle for Lamar, and though Khloe said on TODAY in Nov. that he could be mentally back to 100% within a year and a half, things aren’t improving very quickly at all. As a matter of fact, on Dec. 14, almost two months exactly after the accident, a source tells ET that “he’s not doing great.”
“His speech is still slurred and he can barely walk on his own yet,” the Lamar insider tells ET. “He forgets a lot of people’s names — sometimes even his own. He definitely has some memory loss.” How heartbreaking! Khloe Kardashian told Ellen DeGeneres on Nov. 13 that Lamar “has such a long way to go. He’s learning how to walk again and feed himself again and put sentences together, and cognitively there’s a lot. It’s a long, long road ahead.” It doesn’t seem like he’s made much progress since. Luckily, despite not seeing Khloe visiting him quite as much as she was in the first month after his alleged overdose, the Kardashian-Jenner klan is still looking out for Lamar.”They all pop in to see him [at Ceders-Sinai Medical Center], including Khloe,” the ET source says. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West also just brought little North to visit her uncle on Nov. 17. We’re so glad he still has so much support through all of his medical troubles. Hopefully he just keeps getting better from here.
