Following the tragic loss of her brother, Kristin Cavallari has been depending on the things she loves the most to keep her strong — including her precious new baby girl: ‘She has been my light through this whole thing.’
We can’t even begin to imagine the amount of pain Kristin Cavallari, 28, must be feeling after loosing her brother, Michael Cavallari, 30, on Dec. 10. Thankfully, the former reality star has been able to find the strength to cope with some help from her 1-month-old daughter, Saylor. Kristin took to Instagram on Dec. 14 to share a touching message thanking her baby girl for being “her light” through this very difficult time. See her heart-wrenching post here.
“My little angel, Saylor. She has been my light throughout this whole thing and has given me so much strength,” the Hills alum captioned the sweet photo via Instagram. “Thank you baby girl for coming when u did. And thank u @bocobaby for this adorable blanket xo.”
In the pic, Kristin reveals a look at her newborn daughter’s tiny legs and feet. The little girl appears to have already taken after her mom, rocking stylish pink sweatpants while sitting on a cozy monogrammed blanket. Kristin and her husband, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, 32, welcomed Saylor, their first daughter, on Nov. 23. Together they also share two sons, Camden, 2, and Jaxon, 19 months.
Kristin Cavallari: ‘My Heart Is In A Million Pieces’ After Brother’s Death
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Kristin’s brother Michael was first reported missing on Nov. 27 after his car was found abandoned on a Utah highway. The 30-year-old was missing for two weeks before his body was eventually found three miles from his abandoned car on Dec. 10. Though the death seemed suspicious at first, officials were unable to find any signs of trauma, drugs, or alcohol, nor was a suicide note uncovered at the site. It was later believed that Michael may have died due to the freezing temperatures in the area, according to a TMZ report.
Kristin, appeared absolutely devastated shortly after breaking the news that her brother had died. Immediately following his death, the former Laguna Beach star took to Instagram to post an emotional message for her big brother. “My heart is in a million pieces,” she wrote alongside a childhood photo wit her big bro. “Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed. I’m at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP.” So heartbreaking.
