Adele’s first show in four years will most likely make you cry (at least once). Her NBC special airing Dec. 14 will take us to Radio City Hall where she performed an epic concert — and shouted out to the special man in the audience.
How has Adele‘s boyfriend, Simon Konecki not been to dozens of her shows? That we don’t know, but we do know that his Radio City Hall concert that was taped on Nov. 17, was his first. Adele took the stage to sing for a sold-out crowd, that included Bill Murray, Donald Trump, Daniel Craig, and Bradley Cooper, but it was Simon who she mentioned right before her break up ballad, “Someone Like You.”
“I don’t sing this from the same place anymore,” Adele said before taking on her hit song from her 2011 album, 21. She then turned to her man in the audience, the father of her three-year-old son, Angelo. “This is the first show he’s seen me do — I love you, and I’m so glad you’re here.” Shop Adele’s ’25’ Here.
Naturally, this just made us love her even more when we didn’t even know that was still possible. Speaking of her romantic life, she did make the crowd laugh when saying she was happy she could “make love making music!” Well, when you come out with album after album after album, full of very passionate love songs, she probably isn’t very surprised!
Adele will open with “Hello,” and also perform “When We Were Young,” which she refers to as her “favorite song I’ve ever written.” She actually is brought to tears later when the audience gives her a standing ovation. She closed — no surprise — with the hit that really sky rocketed her career, “Rolling the Deep.” Are you watching Adele’s special tonight? The concert special begins at 10pm on NBC.
