Will Ferrell made his triumphant return to ‘SNL’ and brought back his stellar George W. Bush impression to bash all the GOP candidates — especially Donald Trump! You’re not going to believe how he insulted him! Click through to watch!
SNL isn’t afraid to after political candidates, and the December 12 episode, helmed by Will Ferrell, was brutal against Donald Trump. Will’s cold open brought back his classic President George W. Bush impression, who was announcing his run for presidency yet again. He had some choice words for his “opponent,” frontrunner Donald Trump. Click through to watch!
We’re literally rolling on the floor laughing at this sketch. If anyone was wondering, Dubya could not run for president again, since he was already the prez for two turns. But poor Bush was under the impression that he was the one who could make America great again — not that “knucklehead” Trump.
“And then you got this knucklehead, with the hair, and the 100 foot wall” Bush says, laughing hysterically at a photo of Trump yelling. “Bring that picture picture picture back! I tell you something, whenever I’m in a bad mood, I just picture his big, fat orange Oompa Loompa face, and I just piss my pants.”
Harsh! But Bush didn’t stop there. “And now he says he wants to keep the Muslims out. Yeah, great idea. That’s impossible to implement, and not what this country is about. Heck, that’s like saying ‘let’s keep all the leprechauns out.'” Apparently, the United States ruined leprechaun relations in the 1920s with a similar plan, and that’s why you never see them anymore. Okay, George!
Will’s sketch didn’t just go after Trump. He said that Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio sounded like a “law firm in Miami,” and bashed the fact that two children of immigrants wanted to keep immigrants out of the nation. As for brother, Jeb Bush, he hates his campaign ads, which read “Jeb!” — you can’t make George eat broccoli by calling it “broccoli!” His jab at Ben Carson is hysterical, and a must-see.
Any fan of Saturday Night Live in the 90s and early aughts remembers the reign of Will, and his insanely funny sketches, and he brought that magic back to life in 2015. His impression of George W. Bush, was one of his most revered characters, who almost defined him on the show. Thank god he was able to weigh in on the 2016 presidential race!
