‘American Horror Story’ stars have taken to Twitter to pay tribute to Rose Siggins, the actress who passed away on Dec. 12 at age 43.
The American Horror Story family is mourning the actress who played Legless Suzi on AHS: Freak Show. Rose Siggins, 43, went to the hospital for a kidney stone surgery on Dec. 7 and lost her life just five days later at the Denver hospital. Now her costars including Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett and Gabby Sidibe have all taken to Twitter to mourn the actress.
Rose had reportedly suffered from kidney and pancreas issues her entire life, but following her kidney stone surgery, she contracted an infection that spread through her body, TMZ first reported. In addition to American Horror Story: Freak Show, Rose had also appeared in Born Different: Unbelievable Medical Condition, Extraordinary People and Ripley’s Believe It or Not! She was currently filming a documentary called, Schlitzie: One of Us.
She was born with sacral agenesis, a rare genetical disease that is today known as spinal bifida. Her legs had to be amputated at age two. Most of the cast has shared the link to Rose’s family’s GoFundMe page to help support her family. She had two children — Luke and Shelby. She was the first with the disease to carry a child nearly a full term. You can help by clicking here.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Rose’s friends and family.
