Zendaya always gets it right when it comes to the red carpet. The style savvy star somehow manages to stand apart from the rest of the crowd while still looking classy. At the Diamond Ball she paired her two-piece outfit with a gorgeous low ponytail and major smokey eye makeup.
Zendaya, 19, worked a bit of winter frost into her classic beauty look at Rihanna‘s 2nd annual Diamond Ball charity event in LA on December 10. The singer and actress wore her hair styled into a long and wavy low ponytail that was parted down the center, and her makeup included a double-lined smokey eye and pinky-nude matte lip. Get the details on recreating her glam look for yourself!
Zendaya’s smokey eye was more festive than your average neutral brown look thanks to a frosty white shadow that was focused on her inner corners. To copy her Diamond Ball smokey eye, invest in an eyeshadow palette like Dior 5 Couleurs in Ambre Nuit. Start by sweeping one of the medium brown shades across your eyelid and working a darker brown along the crease and outwards. For that eye-opening pop of white, work the center shimmery shade at the corner of your eyes and along the lower lashline to blend it together.
Complete her eye makeup by lining your upper and lower lashline with black eyeliner like Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner in Diamond Black and curl your lashes before applying several coats of black mascara. Finish Zendaya’s Diamond Ball makeup with a matte nude lip that has a hint of pink to it like Tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint in Exposed.

Zendaya’s classic pony is much simpler to get: Simply brush your hair smooth (you can use a curling wand on the mid-lengths to ends to get soft waves or a straightener for a sleeker look), then part your hair down the middle. Use a dollop of gel like CHI Styling Cream Gel at the top of your head to smooth the sides down and gather your hair into a low ponytail, securing with an elastic.
Zendaya shared a picture of her whole amazing look (which consisted of wide-leg pants and a one-shoulder crop top) to her Instagram with the sweet caption: “Honored to support such a beautiful cause tonight…@badgalriri thank you for using your platform for good, you clearly have a heart of gold and I’m so inspired by all you do.”
