Uh oh. Starbucks is stirring up some controversy again. First, the famous coffee house was criticized for its very plain red cups this holiday season, and now, the chain is under fire for its controversial holiday cookie. Find out why.
We never would have guessed a cookie could cause so much controversy. Starbucks unveiled its 2015 holiday cookie, which just so happens to be in the shape of an adorable polar bear, but the internet is now mocking the snack, as it’s raising a lot of eyebrows. See it here.
Apparently, the festive scarf around the bear’s neck is what’s causing controversy for Starbucks. According to social media users, they believe the famous coffee house chain is encouraging people to go out and kill polar bears. Why? Because they think the polar bears look like they have their throats slit. Instead of seeing a red scarf, they just see a bunch of blood dripping from the bear’s neck. And no, we’re not joking. See what people have been saying below:

As you’ll recall, Starbucks came under fire in November, when they released their annual holidays cups, but this year, they ended up not being festive enough for consumers. In the past, cups were covered in snowflakes and decorative ornaments, but this year, they’re just red and have nothing on them. Some customers have called it a “war on Christmas.” Sadly, these cookies won’t help matters.
