This one will melt your heart. Luke Skywalker — aka Mark Hamill, visited kids and families in need of good cheer at a children’s hospital in Los Angeles. He didn’t go stag either. He was accompanied by a number of fan-favorite characters — watch!
Mark Hamill and his gang of Star Wars characters took on a new challenge — bringing smiles to the amazing kids at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. These patients didn’t have to travel to a galaxy far, far away to follow in the footsteps to fight alongside Luke Skywalker.
Thanks to the Jedi Masters who a special trip to the hospital to help patients harness their inner Force. From Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers to Luke Skywalker and R2-D2, fan-favorite characters brought smiles to everyone at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. The amazing group of volunteers posed for pictures, signed autographs, and even got into (safe) lightsaber duals. The gang dropped into various patients’ rooms to bring a healthy dose of distraction and excitement.
The hospital shared the amazing footage on their Facebook page with the caption: “A hospital full of Padawans … trained by Luke Skywalker! Huge thanks to Lucasfilm, Mark Hamill, Steven Blum, and the The 501st Legion for visiting the kids at CHLA. Still smiling, our kids are. Yeesssssss. #ForceForChange.”
It’s truly amazing to see these kids smile and have some fun, even if they are going through the hardest part if their lives. Star Wars was the best possible distraction!
