Kristin Cavallari is completely devastated after learning that her brother, Michael, is dead at just 30 years old. After releasing a statement breaking the tragic news, the former reality star took to Instagram to share a sweet and emotional message for her big brother.
We can’t even imagine what Kristin Cavallari is going through after the sudden and unexpected loss of her brother, Michael Cavallari. Check out her Instagram tribute to the late 30-year-old, whose body was found on the side of the road in Utah on Dec. 10 after he’d been missing for weeks.
“My heart is in a million pieces,” she wrote alongside a childhood photo wit her big bro. “Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed. I’m at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP.” So heartbreaking.
The post comes just hours after Kristin shared a statement announcing the devastating news. “We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult time,” the 28-year-old said. “We have just been informed by the authorities my brother’s body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving.”
Michael’s car was found abandoned on the side of I-70 in Utah on Nov. 27, and he was reported missing on Dec. 5. It was also revealed that he was arrested five days before the discovery of his car, and despite the scary situation, Kristin revealed on Instagram that she and her family were remaining hopeful.
But they wound up getting the worst news they could imagine…and it couldn’t have happened at a worse time. Kristin and her husband, Jay Cutler, just welcomed their third child, a daughter, Saylor James, on Nov. 23, and all of this went down right after Thanksgiving. Jay has not commented yet on whether or not he’ll play in the Chicago Bears’ game this Sunday.
