It’s a holiday miracle! Lamar Odom has made enough progress that he’s finally going to be leaving the hospital after almost two months. His guardian angel Khloe Kardashian has made special plans to have him moved nearby her home to care for him. Read on for the details!
What huge news! Lamar Odom, 36, is almost going to be home for the holidays. The former NBA star has made enough progress in the recovery from his near fatal drug overdose that he’s going to be moved to a rehabilitation facility, and it’s all thanks to estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, 31. She’s been constantly visiting him at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, but now she’s not going to have to make the far trek from her Calabasas home to see him, as she’s made plans for him to be treated in a nearby center. What would Lamar to without her amazing care?!
“He actually gets a little better every day. He talks a bit more each day and walks with a walker, but still has trouble processing his thoughts. It’s very slow but little by little,” a source tells Us magazine. Any improvement is great, but finally being able to walk – even with assistance – is a huge step, and as of just a few weeks ago he still couldn’t speak! They add that he’s going to be moved out of Cedars “soon” and he’ll be cared for in a rehabilitation facility close to Khloe’s Calabasas home.
It’s amazing that Lamar has come so far since his Oct. 13 overdose at a Nevada brothel. He was initially given a 50/50 shot at survival after four of his major organs failed. His recovery has been nothing short of a miracle and it might never have happened had Khloe not rushed to his bedside, called off their divorce so she could make medical decisions on his behalf and eventually had him transferred to world class hospital Cedars for his ongoing care. While the reality star has called this the “worst year” of her life, her selfless loving care in getting Lamar’s health back has been remarkable.
