Erno Laszlo Review — The Institute & Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar Saved My Skin – Hollywood Life

How My Skin Completely Changed After Using Kim Kardashian’s Favorite Bar Of Soap

When your devoted clients include Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and even Kim Kardashian, you're doing something right. Find out how one visit to the Erno Laszlo Institute changed my skin forever. I never thought I would be using a bar of soap on my face. Of all the foaming, oil and cream cleansers out there, I've traded them all for a back-to-basics bar that was invented over 50 years ago and used by some of the biggest movie stars on the planet.

I don’t remember being traumatized with acne as a teen, but as I’ve gotten older, I have suffered into my 20s with hormonal acne, mainly on my chin. It’s my job to try and test new products, but sometimes they do more harm than good on my sensitive skin.

My life changed when I walked into the (beautiful) Erno Laszlo Institute in Soho, New York. I’ve gotten a fair amount of facials in my life, but this was something I’ve never experienced. There, a skin therapist gives you a completely customized treatment for your skin — giving you exactly what you want and need. They recommend products that will work for you and give you free samples. They truly care about your skin looking and feeling the best it can be.

If you can’t make it into the NYC Institute, go to the website, where you can diagnosis yourself as one of five skin personalities. Erno’s philosophy centered around 4 steps — cleanse, tone, moisturize and finish twice daily — as well as splashing your face 30 times with warm water to plump and soften the skin, accelerate the cell renewal and thoroughly cleanse the skin.

Erno Laszlo Review — How The Institute Changed My Skin

After my personalized treatment at The Institute, my new regimen centers around the Erno Laszlo Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar, but it doesn’t stop there. I also use the Phelityl Cleansing Bar for my combo/oily skin a couple days a week, two toners (one on my nose and chin and another one on my cheeks and forehead) and the Phelityl Night Cream.

Erno Laszlo’s Active Phelityl Cream was used by Marilyn Monroe. Other clients included Ava Gardner, Greta Garbo, Grace Kelly and today, Kim Kardashian herself. Kim admitted she loves the Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar to Harper’s BAZAAR. To hear more about Kim Kardashian, head over to iTunes and download the latest HollywoodLife podcast for free!

With a resume like that, with some of the most influential and beautiful women to ever exist (and with the most access to skincare) loving your products, I am proud to call myself an Erno devotee.
