Celebrity hairstylist Robert Vetica created the style, which he called “chic, modern, fresh, and ageless.”
“The hair look always has to start with the clothes,” Robert told us. Daisy was wearing a Chanel Couture dress from the 20s, so he decided to go with a “fresh spin on the 1920’s Chanel flapper.” He wanted to convey a flapper’s “carefree, liberated spirit,” so he made the hairstyle “very youthful and fun.”
Daisy Ridley At ‘Star Wars’ Premiere In Tokyo — Gorgeous Hair: How To On Her Hairstyle
“Daisy was very open to different beauty ideas,” Robert said. To begin, he used Leonor Greyl Mousse Au Lotus Volumatrice on wet hair so that “the hair does not fall flat to her head and lose its unique shape.”
He used a medium-sized round boar bristled brush to blow her hair dry. He used a firm grip to “sculpt the hair.”
“I then took a ¾ inch curling iron, curling just the ends of the hair using mild-medium heat. I sprayed each section with Leonor Greyl Condition Naturelle Heat Protecting Styling Spray to protect the hair and add hold to the shape I would be creating with the iron,” Robert said.
“I combed her hair in the shape most flattering to her, while also keeping it modern and not too outdated and costumey. I set the look with clips and used Leonor Greyl Laque Souple Light to Medium Hold Hairspray for hold, as it set.”
Meanwhile, Daisy got her makeup done. 20 minutes later, Robert removed the pins and “starting on the left side of the hair, used Leonor Greyl Eclat Naturel on the finger to roll and mold the hair to the look you see here.” To finish, he smoothed out the hair with a dab of L’Huile de Leonor Greyl oil, which also provides shine.
