The BBC Music Awards are here to honor the best musicians in the United Kingdom and beyond! With One Direction, Little Mix and more set to perform, don’t miss a single moment of the Dec. 10 event! Click to WATCH!
For this awards show, everyone wants to be British. The BBC Music Awards will honor some of music’s biggest and most British names. Stars like Adele, 27, and Ed Sheeran, 24, are up for nominations, along with The Weeknd, 25, and Taylor Swift, 25. Not to mention, One Direction are performing, so stay with HollywoodLife.com to see the whole show!
Chris Evans will join Fearne Cotton at the Genting Arena in Birmingham, England to host the second annual BBC Music Awards on Dec. 10. The action will be broadcast on BBC1 at 3 p.m. EST, but the show is being recorded at 11 a.m. EST. So, better get ready to see Harry Styles, Niall Horan and the rest of the 1D boys take the stage for one of their last performances before their hiatus!
You can also listen to Greg James broadcast on BBC Radio 1 live from the event by CLICKING HERE. Though One Direction will be the band wants to see, they’re not up for any awards this time around. Instead, Harry’s Ex, Taylor, is nominated for International Artist of the Year. She’s in for some tough competition, as Prince, The Weeknd, Hozier, Foo Fighters and Major Lazer are all vying for that honor.
But it wouldn’t make much sense for the BBC awards to not honor some of England’s best sons and daughters. “British” is the first “b” in “BBC” and Adele is up for British Artist of the Year. She hopes to beat Ed, Jamie xx, Foals, Years & Years and Florence + The Machine.
Though it will be great to see who wins, the real draw of the BBC Music Awards is the performances. Along with One Direction, Little Mix will hit the stage. Thankfully, Zayn Malik will likely sit this show out, so there won’t be an awkward run-in with his ex, Perrie Edwards.
There won’t be any awkwardness, hopefully, when Rod Stewart, Hozier, The Shires, James Bay, Jack Garrat or Paul Heaton with Jacqui Abbott perform. It should be a wild time to see who takes home all the BBC awards.
