Who didn’t see this coming? Donald Trump is making it crystal clear that he is NOT happy to have been passed up as ‘Time’ magazine’s Person Of The Year. The presidential hopeful is slamming their decision to give the honor to German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Controversial GOP presidential contender, Donald Trump, 69, is highly displeased with Time magazine’s selection for Person Of The Year. Though he saw himself as the “big favorite” for the honor, he lost out to German chancellor Angela Merkel, 61, who according to Donald is “ruining Germany!” Oh Donald, why is everything about YOU?
Yikes! Get out of his way. The Republican front-runner in the 2016 presidential election has been known for his outspoken attitude and honesty and he sure isn’t stopping now! The business tycoon seems to have predicted he would not be selected as ‘Time’ Magazine’s Person Of The Year, stating “I told you” in his tweet Dec. 10. The magazine instead selected Angela, who is the first female Chancellor of Germany and is being praised for her handling of the Syrian refugee crisis. Want to hear more of The Donald’s opinions? I told you @TIME Magazine would never pick me as person of the year despite being the big favorite They picked person who is ruining Germany

It’s no surprise that he’s upset, considering Angela and Donald have opposing opinions on the Syrian refugee crisis. The magazine, which announced its honoree on Dec. 8, wrote, “The most generous, open-hearted gesture of recent history blossomed from Germany, the country that within living memory (and beyond, as long as there’s a History Channel) blew apart the European continent, and then the world, by taking to gruesome extremes all the forces its Chancellor strives to hold in check: nationalism, nativism, self-righteousness and reversion to arms.” It’s also important to note that Angela is only the fourth woman to have been chosen as Person Of The Year. That alone is a reason to celebrate!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Donald should have been chosen?! We want to know what you think!
