Poor Anna Duggar. The 27-year-old is, for the first time, opening up about her husband, Josh Duggar‘s, 27, bombshell sex scandals, including charges that he molested his sisters when he was a teenager, as well as the admission that he used the cheating website, Ashley Madison. Admitting that the situation was basically unbelievable, Anna recalled thinking, “I’m gonna wake up and this is going to be okay.”
“I was just like, ‘I’m gonna wake up and this is going to be okay,'” Anna said, in a preview for a three-part Duggar special on TLC called Jill & Jessa: Counting On, which will begin airing on Dec. 13. “And this really. This can’t be true,” she added.
The preview clip, which aired on the Dec. 9 episode of Good Morning America, is just the beginning of what will surely be a gut wrenching special. The couple, who have four young children together, have reportedly struggled to stay together since the scandals rocked their world, and it remains to be seen whether they will be able to overcome their obstacles.
Josh did not admit that he had cheated with Ashley Madison on his own. On Aug. 18, hackers leaked the names and information of the site’s users, one of whom was Josh. Two days later, Josh released a statement.
“I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife,” he wrote. “I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.”
Do you think Anna should leave Josh?
