Is there a war brewing between the judges as ‘The Voice’ heads to the final? In the nail-biting climax of the Dec. 8 results show — that eliminated half of the contestants — Adam Levine left his bros, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams, hanging by throwing his support behind Gwen Stefani!
It gets intense during the finals of The Voice. Battle lines get drawn, brothers fight brothers and it singing turns ugly during the home stretch of the competition. With the end fast approaching, Adam Levine, 36, may have gone too far by siding alongside Gwen Stefani, 46, instead of sticking with Blake Shelton, 39, or Pharrell Williams, 42.
The Dec. 8 semifinals ended in a three-way-showdown between Gwen’s Jeffery Austin, Pharrell’s Madi Davis and Blake’s Zach Seabaugh. The singer with the highest amount of votes would advance and the others would go home. Without one of his team members to vote for, Adam was free to pick whomever. Instead of backing Pharrell or Blake, Adam voted for Jeffery, helping send Gwen’s guy to the finals!
Clearly, it’s sisters before misters for Adam, as he’s constantly teased Blake throughout the season. Plus, Adam already had a team member in the finals as Jordan Smith advanced earlier in the show. That was no surprise, as he’s been killing this competition and he completely crushed Queen’s “Somebody To Love” on the Dec. 7 show.
Blake would have loved to see Zach make it because two other members of Team Blake advanced to the last round. Barrett Babe and Emily Ann Roberts will also compete for the win, giving Blake a 50% chance to take home his fifth victory! Blake must feel almost as good as he does when he sees Gwen in one of her sexy outfits.
But, poor Pharrell. Adam’s choice denied the “Happy” singer a chance of having one of his team members go for the crown. Will he take Adam’s diss personally and support Blake? Will it come down between Pharrell and Blake versus Gwen and Adam? With the two lovers caught in the middle? Oh no!
Jordan, Barrett, Emily Ann and Jeffery will get one last chance to win over America’s hearts (and their votes) to win Season 9 of The Voice. These four golden voices will take to the stage on Dec. 14. Will Blake be a 5-time winner? Will Gwen take home her first victory? We’ll just have to sit back and watch.
Do you think Adam was dissing Blake and Pharrell? Or do you think he was playing the game, HollywoodLifers?
