J.K. Rowling is so incensed by Donald Trump’s demands that all Muslims be banned from entering the U.S., she’s declaring he’s worse than the most evil ‘Harry Potter’ villain. What’s more, Jeb Bush calls Trump ‘unhinged’. Here’s what J.K., Jeb, and more have to say.
Donald Trump, 69, may have made his boldest statement yet by demanding that the United States should close its borders to all Muslim people in response to the Dec. 2 mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif. Civilians, celebs, and politicians alike immediately condemned the Republican presidential candidate for his shocking declaration, but Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling was so peeved, she said he’s even more of a villain than Lord Voldemort!
Amidst the outraged reactions to Donald’s Muslim ban idea, some Twitter users began comparing Donald to Voldemort to show their disgust. Once J.K. took to Twitter to express her own thoughts, she declared that she didn’t agree with the Voldemort comments — she actually thinks Donald is worse than the supervillain!
How horrible. Voldemort was nowhere near as bad. https://t.co/hFO0XmOpPH

As if comparing Donald to an evil soul like Voldemort isn’t condemning enough, it didn’t stop there. Republican opponent Jeb Bush was among the first to respond to Donald’s statement, who expressed his disapproval in a tweet. “Donald Trump is unhinged. His “policy” proposals are not serious,” he wrote. Hillary Clinton quickly voiced her opinion in a tweet as well: “This is reprehensible, prejudiced and divisive. @RealDonaldTrump, you don’t get it. This makes us less safe.” Even Jerry Springer chimed in, tweeting, “Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering America… an insult to all those who fought and died for the idea America. Shame on him.”
Former presidential candidate John McCain told the Associated Press that Donald’s idea is “just foolish,” adding, “I thought long ago that things he said would hurt his prospects, and he continues to go up.” Piers Morgan — who noted that he has been a friend of Donald’s since winning Celebrity Apprentice nearly a decade ago — also added to the condemning, writing an open letter to Trump on Daily Mail and calling his ban “so completely, utterly and dangerously wrong.”
Considering Donald’s Muslim ban proposal is completely opposite of what President Barack Obama suggested in his Oval Office address just one day prior, it’s not surprising that people were so appalled by his comments. Although Donald never seems to be phased by his haters, we’d say J.K.’s Voldemort diss was probably one of Trump’s biggest slams yet!
What did you think of Trump’s idea of a Muslim bam, HollywoodLifers?
