Donald Trump spoke to ‘GMA’s George Stephanopoulos on Dec. 8 and defended his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States and said otherwise there will be many more terrorist attacks. HollywoodLifers, do you agree with Donald?
Donald Trump is being slammed from every direction for saying the United States should ban Muslims from entering the country in an effort to reduce the risk of terrorist attacks. But Donald doesn’t care and in a new interview with GMA‘s George Stephanopoulos he says his idea makes total sense and that our country is “at war.”
“We have people in our country that want to blow up this country,” Donald said via phoner on GMA. “You know it and so do I. George we can take it sitting back, we will have many more World Trade Center [attacks]. It’ll only get worse. You look at Paris and I’m not talking about the horrible carnage that took place. Paris is no longer the same city, they have areas in Paris where the police refuse to go to because it’s so dangerous — we don’t want that for our country George, we have to figure it out.” Click here to listen to Donald’s outrageous interview on GMA.
But Donald says this ban would only be temporary, until we are able to defeat ISIS or at least get it under control. “Something has to be done,” he said. “What I’m doing is calling very simply for a shut down of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.”
Donald’s phone call lasted about 8 minutes, while George continually tried to get a word in but Donald kept going. “We are now at war. We have a president that doesn’t want to say that, but we are now at war.” He also said: “[The ban would remain] until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life … It’s a temporary measure … we just had a case [San Bernardino] where many people were killed, we are going to have many more cases like that.”
