Dionne wouldn’t call Cher selfish to her face in ‘Clueless,’ but Stacey Dash, who played Dionne, had no problem saying President Obama ‘could give a s***’ while reacting to his recent remarks during his Oval Office address on Dec. 6. And thus, she was suspended by Fox News. If only she had channeled Dionne in this situation…
Clueless star Stacey Dash, 48, and strategic analyst Ralph Peters were both suspended by Fox News for their “completely inappropriate and unacceptable” comments about President Obama, following his recent remarks on terrorism during his Oval Office address on Dec. 6. And now, Stacey is no longer rolling with the homies.
During a Dec. 7 appearance on Fox Business, Ralph said, “I mean this guy is such a total pussy, it’s stunning,” while reacting to President Obama’s Oval Office address. Host Stuart Varney told Ralph he can’t “use language like that on the program,” and he said he was sorry, but it wasn’t enough to make up for his poor choice of words.
And just a few hours later, Stacey was co-hosting Outnumbered when she talked about Obama and said, “I felt like he could give a s*** — excuse me, like he could care less.” (Watch the video above at the 5:45 minute mark.)
Because of their remarks, the two commenters were suspended “for using profanities while criticizing President Obama on Monday,” according to CNN.
“Earlier today, Fox contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air,” Fox senior executive vice president Bill Shine told CNN. “Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks.”
