Gwen Stefani’s new love with Blake Shelton has given her all sorts of feels: happiness, excitement and…embarrassment? According to the ‘Used To Love You’ singer, there are moments when her romance with Blake leaves her feeling very self-conscious!
From how Gwen Stefani, 46, looks whenever she’s gazing at, talking about or even thinking of Blake Shelton, 39, it’s seems Gwen’s new boyfriend has filled her completely with joy and happiness. But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, as Gwen has admitted that she sometimes feels very “exposed” by this new relationship!
“It’s hard to believe anything that is going on in my life right now,” Gwen said while calling into the Dana & Jayson In The Morning show on 106.1 WBLI/Long Island on Dec. 7. While chatting with Gwen, host Jayson posed the question about whether the high-profile nature of Gwen’s love life has some negative effects.
“When you performed ‘Used To Love You’ on The Voice and that gentleman of a country man stood up and applauded…and everyone was like ‘look how cute they are,’” Jason said. Well, he does have a point — they both looked incredibly cute. However, Jayson asked Gwen, “Are you ever like, ‘don’t do that, he just likes me. This is embarrassing.'”
“Everything changed so quickly like overnight,” she replied. “I’m so tongue-twisted right now — I don’t like talking about it. I am embarrassed about it sometimes because I feel so exposed but I am so grateful for that friendship that saved me through this year. It’s unbelievable what it takes to get through stuff.”
Being in one of the most talked about relationships in Hollywood would put Gwen in the spotlight. It’s hard for her to have a private moment with him. They can’t even Facetime each other without getting caught. Hopefully, Gwen will get some alone time with Blake if she takes her kids to spend Christmas on Blake’s ranch. Thankfully, their love seems to overcome any feeling of embarrassment. Blake constant gushes over Gwen, telling everyone anywhere that he thinks his new girlfriend is “stunning” and “beautiful.” Gwen has been equally proud of Blake, while also incredibly happy for her new romance. Even their coworker, Pharrell Williams, says that Gwen is “floating” now that she’s with Blake.
What do you think about Gwen saying she feels “embarrassed” and “exposed” in this new relationship, HollywoodLifers? Do you think she’ll get over it?
