Coldplay is reportedly the halftime show headliner for Super Bowl 50, and it’s sure to be epic. But what would make their performance even crazier? Surprise appearances from superstars! Take a look at the six we think should take the Super Bowl stage with Coldplay below!
Whether it’s Beyonce or Rihanna, Coldplay sure knows how to pick some mega-artists to feature on their songs. So when they hit the stage for the halftime show at Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, Calif. on Feb. 7, 2016, there’d be no better time to bring some of Coldplay’s biggest collaborators out! Katy Perry set the bar high when she surprised the crowd with Missy Elliott in last year’s halftime show, but there’s plenty of possibilities for Coldplay to go even bigger!
We can only imagine how their anthemic song “Princess of China” would echo in a massive arena like Levi’s Stadium. Plus, Rihanna would certainly bring some sex appeal to the performance, which is always a bonus for Super Bowl viewers. Right, Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson?
Although Bey has already done her own insane halftime show, her new song “Hymn For The Weekend” with Coldplay is way too incredible to not perform on the Super Bowl stage! If anything, we just want to see if she could cause another power outage…
Coincidentally, Coldplay just so happens to also have a song with Bey’s hubby called “Lost+.” Heck, Blue Ivy is on the record with Beyonce, so with all three, the halftime performers could host a family affair!
They don’t actually have a song together, but Ariana joined Coldplay for a performance of her Harry Styles-penned song, “Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart” at Global Citizen Music Festival in September, and it was beautiful. The ballad is not exactly a crowd-amping song, but how amazing would it be to hear Ari’s power vocals on the Super Bowl stage?!
Yeezy collabed with Chris on his 2007 hit, “Homecoming,” but it’d be pretty amazing to see them perform it together with Chris’ entire band behind them. Plus, Jay-Z joined them for a performance of the song in 2011, so why not bring both of them out for an epic finale? Beyonce might as well join too…that’s not too much to ask, is it Ye?
