Oops! Even King Hotness, AKA Ryan Gosling, is capable of embarrassing moments, like that time he spat on a baby in the promos for his ‘Saturday Night Live’ hosting gig on Dec. 5. What?! Yep, WATCH for yourself!

Ryan Gosling, we know you didn’t mean it! The studly actor graced an innocent infant with his wayward saliva and we will never be over it. The 35-year-old star of The Big Short will make his SNL debut this Saturday with musical guest Leon Bridges, and per tradition, he’s recorded a series of short promotional videos with a castmember. Watch him bond in this hilarious video with Aidy Bryant, 28, as he re-enacts a moment from the Titanic that goes a liiiiitle awry.

Aidy channels all of us when she fangirls over Ryan in the vid, using cheesy pickup lines and fake cue cards instructing them to make out. The funniest moment comes at 1:54, when Ryan and Aidy lean over a balcony on the SNL set to survey the goings-on below: “Remember that scene from Titanic?” Ryan seemingly ad-libs. He then spits (for real) over the side of the barrier. “I just spit on a baby!” the smoking hot actor realizes. Aidy’s immediate reaction is of comical horror: “Oh my God. Go go go!” Ha, so cute.

Ryan’s new film, The Big Short, hits theaters on Dec. 23 and will be an Oscars frontrunner for sure. The movie follows four people who predicted the huge mid-2000s financial crisis, where the U.S. saw the collapse of the credit and housing bubbles. Ryan plays a character based on Deutsche Bank trader Greg Lippmann. “The character I play is the narrator of the film and the tour guide through this world. It was a challenge because I’m trying to play him but at the same time have one foot outside of the movie and be almost like a talk show host or something,” Ryan told the Hollywood Reporter. It’s adapted from the book The Big Short: Inside The Doomsday Machine by Michael Lewis, and stars other Hollywood studs like Christian Bale and Brad Pitt. Be sure to check out the trailer before Saturday!
