Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, it’s fantastic that you two have found love together, after surviving painful divorces this year. Now, you’re both so smart not race into another marriage.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, it’s doubtful that either of you expected to find love again so soon after the breakup of your high-profile marriages to Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert. Who knew that sitting in the judges’ seats on The Voice would lead to Hollywood’s hottest romance of the year — especially between such seeming opposites? As it turns out, beneath Gwen’s ultra-chic outfits and signature red lipstick, and Blake’s rumpled plaid shirts, you two had lots to bond over: music, and a history of love hurts.
Now, you’re PDAing on The Voice set during commercials, Facetiming when you’re apart and even publicly raving about each other at every opportunity. Blake, you were so proud of girlfriend Gwen after she performed her heartrending ode to her ex Gavin Rossdale, on The Voice. In fact, you took to Twitter. with this sweet tweet; “Wow… @gwenstefani…. Such an amazing performance. #respect,”. Later, you gushed to Extra about Gwen’s song, ‘ Used To Love You’: “It’s not just this work of art and piece of her, it’s also turning into a smash.”
Now, we hear at Hollywoodlife.com that despite reports that you are already planning a wedding, you are, in fact, not racing to the altar. That’s a very good thing! “They are in no rush to take that step,” an insider close to the couple told Hollywoodlife.com. “They want to enjoy dating and being together in the honeymoon phase as long as it lasts and they will start thinking about getting married down the road. No time soon though. It’s just too early.”
Gwen and Blake, that is so wise. You are not teenagers. Gwen, 46 and you, Blake, 39, you both maturely recognize that there’s no point in risking another marriage mistake. Gwen, you especially realize that your three young sons can’t be put through more turbulence and change. What if a new marriage to Blake ultimately didn’t work out? Your boys’ lives would be turned topsy-turvy once again. Right now, they’re still adjusting to Daddy living in another house. That’s a key reason for you to keep all wedding plans on hold.
Not that making a marriage commitment ever is actually off the table. You two are both thoughtful, substantive people who clearly see the value in marriage.”They are not against it,” the insider has told Hollywoodlife.com. That’s great news, too. It would be a romance killer if one of you was up for an eventual marriage, but the other was dead set against it. So, Blake and Gwen, high fives to you both for opening the door to love, but not rushing to tie the knot.
Do you agree, Hollywoodlifers? Let me know.
