It’s official: Sandra Bullock has confirmed the reports that she’s adopted another child. The A-lister debuted her beautiful new daughter, Laila, on Dec. 2, and opened up about keeping the news private for so long.
Sandra Bullock is now a mom of two! The actress revealed that she’s welcomed a new baby girl into her family, 3 1/2 year old, Laila, to give her son Louis a little sister. Get the scoop on her expanded family here!
The 51-year-old confirmed rumors that she’d adopted another toddler on the cover of People Dec. 2, and admitted her main concern this entire time has been protecting Laila’s (pronounced Lila) privacy. “You feel it’s very much like witness protection,” she revealed to the mag. Laila comes from Louisiana and had been in foster care before Sandra took her in.
“When I look at Laila, there’s not doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here,” Sandra explained. “I can tell you, absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time.” What makes this whole thing even more sweet is that Sandra’s five-year-old son, Louis, is the one who pushed her to adopt again — and she said the siblings have an “inseparable bond.” Awww!
Reports that the Miss Congeniality star had added to her family surfaced in October, when Radar Online revealed that a baby girl had been living at her Los Angeles home. “Unbeknownst to me, a photographer had followed us and taken a photo of us in line,” she admitted to People. “The next day, I learned that a photo of her was being shopped around for sale to every outlet around the world. I had promised and legally agreed to protect her from something like this, and here I was chasing down lawyers — having them begging them to keep her safe.”
