An active shooting is unfolding in San Bernardino, CA on Dec. 2. Fourteen people have been killed, reports ABC, and at least 17 people are injured. A developmental services building called the Inland Regional Center was reportedly attacked on the corner of Waterman Ave and Park Center Circle in the city just east of Los Angeles. Police currently have 1-3 suspects, and are carefully searching each person leaving the building to be sure the shooter doesn’t sneak away. So far no arrests have been made, according to NBC. With 1-3 suspected shooters still at large, businesses and schools in a two mile radius have been put in lock down by police, with no one allowed to enter or leave. Reportedly, police are looking for “three white males dress in military gear,” according to Fox 11 Los Angeles, that may have fled in a black SUV. Those who witnessed the attack said that the alleged shooters were wearing body armor, masks, and carrying rifles. The FBI, ATF, fire department joined the Sheriff’s department on the scene. The developmental services building has been evacuated, including 670 staff and countless patients and families. Our prayers are with all of the victims and families of this horrific attack.
Update: The shooters have been identified as Syed Farook, 28 and his wife,Tashfeen Malik, 27. After fleeing the scene in SUVs, they were tracked to a home in Redlands, California, where they were killed in a shootout with police.
