Uh oh, Rick Ross appears to be taking on Drake in his new drop ‘Color Money’ for the Toronto rapper’s obsession with Nicki Minaj. We can’t wait for Drake to put out a response track cause you know that will be coming! Read on to hear what Rick had to say.
So far Rick Ross, 39, has managed to stay out of the rap feud between his frequent collaborator Drake versus his MMG label signee Meek Mill. But now he’s giving a shout out to his boy Meek and a possibly a big ol’ diss to Drake on the new song ‘Color Money’ which he released Dec. 2. In it he calls Meek his homie and praises him for making a ton of cash touring with girlfriend Nicki Minaj, 32, and it could also be a slap at Drizzy’s “Back To Back,” which put down Meek as a tag-along on Nicki’s successful Pinkprint tour.
“My little homie made a million on his girl’s tour,” Rick rhymes, giving props to Meek for the tour he did with Nicki over the summer, but it could also be a response to Drizzy’s Back To Back takedown about Meek. He then goes on to take another swipe in the rhyme with “I got more money than that p—- that you’re signed to,” referring to his mega successful Maybach Music Group, of which Meek is family as opposed to Drake’s OVO Sound. You can check out Rick’s new album Black Market which drops Dec. 4 by clicking here.
Drake made an obvious diss of Meek back in July, when he dropped “Back To Back” with the rhymes, “You love her then you gotta get a world tour/Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?/I know that you gotta be a thug for her/This ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more,” referring to the fact that Meek was the opening act for Nicki on her tour. Now Rick has opened the door to a possible new feud, but you know what it means for us? Likely new material from Drake! Yay!
