Demi Lovato rocked the stage at Jingle Ball trying out a new trending makeup look — brown lipstick. The singer paired the deep shade with oversized lashes, bold brows and her usual textured bob. Find out how to copy Demi’s latest look!
Demi Lovato, 23, performed her single, “Confident,” at KISS FM’s Jingle Ball concert on December 1 in Dallas, Texas, in high-waisted red leather shorts and a matching crop top. But while her outfit was festive for the holidays, Demi went a different route with her makeup, trying out a brown lipstick shade.

Copying Demi’s look for the upcoming holidays is simple — we already know the singer credits her clear skin to her skincare line, Devonne by Demi, but you can copy her shimmering glow with New York Color Sun ‘N’ Bronze Bronzing Powder. For her larger-than-life lashes, the New York Color spokesmodel swears by the brand’s Big Bold Curl Mascara in Extreme Black. Be sure to curl your lashes first and add several coats of mascara (giving each coat a minute to dry) for Demi-like lashes.
For her dark lip, start by using a lip scrub to gently exfoliate and a lip balm for a bit of moisture. Then, line your lips with a neutral liner like New York Color Automatic Lip Liner in Naughty Nude. To ease your way into the brown shade, try New York Color Ultra Moist Lip Wear in Mocha, which is a bit lighter than Demi’s shade and has a slight metallic shimmer.

It seems like the ’90s brown lipstick trend is making a comeback, as more and more celebs have been easing their way into the look by turning to neutral shades. With Kylie Jenner releasing a matte brown lip color as part of her three-piece Lip Kit and Demi rocking the brown shade, too, we expect to see even more of the chocolatey hue in the new year.
