Miranda Lambert’s divorce with Blake Shelton happened so fast, she’s just now wrapping her head around it. In a new interview, Miranda admitted she’s still ‘processing everything’ about the split, saying she’s trying to figure out where she’ll go next.
Though it’s been months since she split from Blake Shelton, 39, Miranda Lambert is still figuring out her life after her quickie divorce. After so many years together, the 32-year-old “Little Red Wagon” singer has admitted that she needs some time to think about things and to decide what’s the next step for her.
“We were together for 10 years, married for four, were quickly divorced and are friends,” Miranda said about Blake during her interview in Cosmopolitan’s Dec. 9 issue. It seems that even Miranda acknowledges that the situation with her ex is complicated. “I’m still processing everything and figuring out where to go and what happened.”
While Miranda is figuring things out, Blake is enjoying his new relationship with fellow The Voice judge, Gwen Stefani. The two can’t stop smiling at each other, or Facetiming each other. They even commute to The Voice together. Though it may seem that Blake is moving on too fast from Miranda, his ex has told their fans to “be supportive,” because “nobody [has to] pick a side — because there ain’t a side.” You can show support to Miranda by picking up her Platinum album on Amazon here.
Despite this plea for support, Miranda has admitted the divorce “sucks.” At least she’s trying to make the best of it. This has meant reconnecting with family during holidays, as she spent Thanksgiving with her mom. For her first Christmas away from Blake, Miranda’s planning a wild “Girls’ Night Out.” But for those nights when she’s by herself, the “Smokin’ and Drinkin'” singer plans on dealing with the sadness with whiskey and crying.
“[Marriage is] a tough business, and we gave it our best college try,” Miranda told Cosmo. Though she’s handling the loss of her husband the best she can, what really stings is that she’s lost her best friend. Miranda is “still missing Blake,” a source EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com, “and hearing how happy he is with Gwent doesn’t make it any easier.”
Do you think Miranda will figure things out and move on with her life, HollywoodLifers? Will she and Blake be able to remain friends?
