‘The Voice’ is all about the singers, but sometimes the coaches have to get in on the fun, too! Gwen Stefani did just that on the live Nov. 30 episode when she performed her newest single, ‘Used To Love You,’ live…and it was pretty darn amazing.
Gwen Stefani really left all her emotions on stage on tonight’s episode of The Voice. The 46-year-old proved why she’s one of the biggest names in the game right now with a heart-wrenching rendition of her hit “Used To Love You” on the hit NBC show, and it totally gave us all of the feels. Slay, Gwen!
Amid the stressful night of watching the Top 10 perform, Gwen put her team on the back burner for just a moment to put her own career front-and-center. She took the stage to perform “Used To Love You,” the song she wrote about her divorce from Gavin Rossdale, and we could feel the emotions pouring out of her during the heartbreaking track.
Looking absolutely breathtaking in an angelic white Marchesa dress and her hair in old-fashioned curls, Gwen sounded totally fabulous as she belted out her new hit. It can’t be easy singing about something so personal, but she kept her composure and totally killed it on that stage.
Interestingly, the performance came just weeks after a bombshell new report claimed Gavin had cheated on the No Doubt singer with their kids’ nanny, Mindy Mann, during an alleged three year affair. Gwen allegedly found out about her husband’s infidelity back in February when she discovered texts between him and Mindy, but he chalked it up to simple “flirtation,” according to Us Weekly. Mindy was immediately fired, but Gwen attempted to stick it out with her husband of 13 years…until he allegedly admitted to the affair over the summer, after which the singer finally filed for divorce. (The exes’ reps have not commented on these allegations).
Luckily, Gwen’s had the support of her new boyfriend, Blake Shelton, as all of this has been going on — and he was watching proudly from his own big red chair as she sang her heart out during Wednesday’s show. Awwww! Things have been heating up between these two ever since their reps confirmed the relationship on Nov. 4, and although they’ve been shy about admitting anything themselves, the chemistry is beyond obvious. Things have only been continuing to heat up between these lovers, and we’re totally lovin’ it!
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of Gwen’s performance? Are you loving this song?
