Even on a tough day — like the first Thanksgiving since his divorce — Blake Shelton can be counted on to crack a joke. The country singer took to Twitter to give thanks to one of his fellow coaches on ‘The Voice,’ but was it his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani? See the tweet here!
Blake Shelton has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving…even though he went through a divorce this year. The 39-year-old went home solo to Oklahoma for the holiday, but made sure to remind fans just how thankful he is for one of his co-coaches on The Voice. Did girlfriend Gwen Stefani get a special message from her man? Find out here!
Unfortunately, the hot new couple is still remaining pretty vague about their romance, so Blake didn’t mention his ladylove in his holiday tweet. Instead, he took the opportunity to make fun of his BFF, Adam Levine, which is nothing new! “Today I give thanks that @adamlevine is back to looking like Eddie Munster,” he wrote, with a photo comparing the Maroon 5 frontman to the TV werewolf. When Adam shaved his head over the summer, Blake was constantly making fun of his look, so it only made sense for him to comment now that the hair and scruff are back!
Although things are getting hot and heavy between Blake and Gwen, we can understand that they spent Thanksgiving apart. While the country singer went home to be with his family, Gwen had her three kids to worry about in California, and she was also reportedly on a photo shoot on L.A. during the day. Meanwhile, Blake’s ex, Miranda Lambert, who hasn’t jumped back into the dating pool just yet, spent time with her parents down in Texas.
Blake has been high-profile since the July divorce because of his job on The Voice, but the 32-year-old has remained much more low-key. But in a new interview, she recently discussed how hard it’s been for her. “Marriage is a tough business and we gave it our best college try,” she told Cosmopolitan. “Some of [it] might be nights on my porch crying, drinking whiskey and going, ‘Man, this sucks right now.'” At least she has her family by her side!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Blake should’ve given thanks to Gwen on Twitter, too?
