Jennifer Nettles has never looked or sounded better! The singer, 41, sang her new hit song, ‘Sugar’ at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade while riding the Domino’s Sugar float.
Even Jennifer Nettles 3-year-old son, Magnus Hamilton didn’t miss her epic performance, which she sung on the Domino’s Sugar float on Nov. 26. Before the performance, she said her boy would be “snuggled up and warm and cozy at home watching all the balloons go by!” So cute — his mother did amazing.
Jen looked absolutely beautiful in a white wool goat coat, and a white fur cape draped over her shoulders, both made by Thomas Wilde. The song was super upbeat and fun and will be stuck in our heads the rest of the day for sure. The song will also be on Jen’s next album, that’s set to come out in 2016!
Jen was super excited to perform for her first time, she told ABC Radio before taking on Fifth Avenue. “What an iconic celebration for what is really my favorite holiday,” she said. “I mean, I love Christmas and clearly I get the honor of hosting the CMA Country Christmas, you know, when it happens, but yeah, I’ve never done the Macy’s Parade and Thanksgiving is all the family, all the fellowship, all the food and none of the fuss and stress of presents so — and it’s about gratitude, so that to me is my favorite.”After Thanksgiving, Jennifer has quite a schedule! She will be hosting CMA Country Christmas on December 3 for the sixth time, then on Dec. 10, she’ll take on an iconic role of Dolly Parton‘s mother, Avie Lee, in NBC’s Coat of Many Colors.Did you love Jennifer’s performance?
