Sasha and Malia Obama totally stunned at the White House’s annual turkey pardoning event on Nov. 25! The girls rocked two super cute fall ensembles that we wouldn’t mind wearing to our own turkey dinner tomorrow. Click here for the pics!
President Obama‘s daughters Malia Obama, 17, and Sasha Obama, 14, looked so cute standing next to their dad, as he pardoned his seventh turkey on November 25. The gorgeous sisters stepped out in two adorable fall outfits consisting of cozy sweaters, warm tights and chic outerwear. We love their style and look forward to stealing some inspiration from them this Thanksgiving. Get the details on their holiday-ready looks below!
As expected, the teens looked super cute and festive for the annual turkey pardon held outside the White House on Nov. 25. For her part, Malia covered up in a classic stripped turtleneck and a two-tone navy and hunter green anorak coat, which had a cute tomboy feel to it. Sasha, meanwhile, went for a more mature look this year, pairing a cozy white sweater with a denim skirt and black tights. To top it off, she even added a pair of oversized glasses, giving her look a classic, collegiate sort of vibe. Both girls seemed to be going for a more grownup, all-American look this year and we absolutely love it!
Outfits aside, Malia and Sasha seemed to be having a blast on stage with their dear old dad, who couldn’t resist telling a few of his favorite turkey jokes to get his daughters (and the crowd) laughing. “I can’t believe this is my 7th turkey pardon. Time flies, even though turkeys don’t,” he joked with Malia responding, “Oh that’s a good one.”
As you might recall, Malia and Sasha’s outfits made major headlines last year after GOP Elizabeth Lauten posted an open letter on her Facebook slamming what they wore and their “attitudes.” It was ridiculous and she was subsequently fired!
Dear Sasha and Malia, I get you’re both in those awful teen years, but you’re a part of the First Family, try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play. Then again your mother and father don’t respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I’m guessing you’re coming up a little short in the ‘good role model’ department. Nevertheless, stretch yourself. Rise to the occasion. Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don’t make faces during televised public events.
Yikes, even though she apologized, you can’t talk that way about the First Children! Regardless, we always love what these girls wear and think they are such fashionistas!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Sasha and Malia’s turkey pardon outfits this year?
