What’s Erin really up to when it comes to Gunnar on ‘Nashville’? HollywoodLife.com spoke EXCLUSIVELY with actress Scout Taylor-Compton about whether or not they have potential to become a real couple.
Scout Taylor-Compton, 26, has made a splash on Nashville as Erin, the free spirit who has caught Gunnar’s (Sam Palladio) attention. Even though they have a laid back thing going on, is there any chance their fling could turn into something a little more serious? Plus, will Scout be showing off her own singing skills on the show any time soon?
Even though Gunnar was a little slow to the idea of casual sex, Erin has definitely been helping him figure it out on the fourth season of Nashville. While it’s been fun watching Gunnar finally get some action and possibly moving on from Scarlett, is there hope for Erin and Gunnar to go the distance?
“I think Gunnar and Erin are just having fun, and I think that’s always a great start for a relationship,” actress Scout Taylor-Compton told HollywoodLife.com in our EXCLUSIVE interview. As the brains and beauty behind sound engineer Erin, Scout was more than happy to chat about her character’s potentially super romantic future. “I think when you put too much into it in the beginning it just kind of overkills it. I think the way that they are being right now is definitely going in the right direction.” Hmm, so there could be hope for a relationship after all!
But what does that mean for Scarlett, especially since Gunnar was trying so hard to win her over before meeting Erin?
“I think what’s going to get in the way is how Gunnar and Scarlett have been forever,” Scout explained. “How they are with each other. I think when any new girl comes in between someone and their past lover it will always stir up some kind of emotion, but Scarlett is really a nice girl, and so is Erin, so we’ll see. I think like any past thing, there’s always a little nudge, a little hurt.”
Will Scout Get To Sing On ‘Nashville’?
Okay, now that we’ve gossiped about Erin, Gunnar, and Scarlett’s love lives, let’s find out if there’s a chance to hear Scout sing on Nashville. After all, it’s a right of passage for cast members!
“As of right now my fingers are crossed. I would love to,” Scout gushed, sounding very hopeful. As for which cast members she would like to sing with the most, Scout said: “Sam knows that I sing, so does Chris [Carmack], so hopefully one day!”
Scout also told HollywoodLife.com that she was working on recording a cover of The Lumineers, which is one of her favorite bands. So exciting! Make sure you’re following Scout on Twitter @poutyscouty and Instagram, too.
