With the AMAs coming tonight, we know your frantically searching the internet to rewatch past epic performances. Luckily, we’ve compiled a ton for you.
Before Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and more take the stage at the 2015 American Music Awards on Nov. 20, we have to shout out to some stars who have blown our minds over the years — and these will be hard to top.
Lady Gaga: “Bad Romance” / 2009
At the peak of Gaga’s insane antics, she crawled out on stage for this magnificent performance that yes– scared us, but also made us realize just how much talent she really had.
Miley Cyrus: “Wrecking Ball” / 2013
Tears, leotards and cats? Yes, yes and YES. Miley was on her “crying” tour at this point right after her split from Liam Hemsworth, but took away form the emotional ways of this song with a cat in the background, and all over her outfit.
Selena Gomez: “The Heart Wants What It Wants” / 2014
This one brought everyone to tears — including Selena while singing ,and her bestie, Taylor Swift in the audience. This was the first time she really sang out loud about her break up from Justin.
Beyonce: “Single Ladies” / 2008
This dance was all the rage so Bey and her girl squad didn’t need any fancy antics for the performance — just that epic dance number.
Britney Spears: “Stronger” / 2001
If you’re wondering how to flip your hair and really work that windblown look, just watch Brit. (ALSO, THOSE ABS.)
Backstreet Boys & New Kids on the Block Medley / 2010
NKOTBSB hadn’t gone on tour yet so this was the first time all the guys (minus Kevin) took the stage together and melted all our hearts.
Michael Jackson: “We Are The World” / 1986
“It was a prayer that was heard around the world,” Diana Ross said when introducing this one. Then, he sang the powerful, revealing song, along with many others in the world — including Bruce Spingsteen, Stevie Wonder and Lionel Richie.
Which performance was your favorite, HollywoodLifers?
