So cool! Some of the biggest and best stars in the music industry are joining forces to help bring awareness to the progress on race in America, following the Charleston Church shooting in June 2015. The concert, which you can watch here, is an event you don’t want to miss.
Shining a Light, which is a concert that was set up to help bring awareness to the progress on race in America, as well as raise money to grant funding to individuals and organizations fostering understanding, and eliminating bias, will be broadcast on Nov. 20 at 8pm EST, but you can watch the entire two-hour show right here! So forget your Friday night plans, and instead, curl up on the couch and join us, along with Nick Jonas, Pharrell Williams, John Legend, Ed Sheeran, Bruce Springsteen, Jamie Foxx, Pink, Sia, Zac Brown Band, Sting, Eric Church, Tori Kelly, Miguel, and more of your favorite stars for a night you’ll never forget.
To watch the Shining A Light concert, click here at 8pm EST on Nov. 20. All the stars named above will be performing, so the concert event is definitely not short of A-list singers. And after the concert, Shining a Light: Conversations on Race in America will follow, during which a number of your favorite stars “will visit local communities and host round tables and community gatherings with civic leaders, and individuals affected by recent acts of racism,” according to AOL.com.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, nine people were brutally shot and killed on June 17, 2015, when a gunman walked into a historic African American church in Charleston and opened fire. Dylann Roof, 21, who was later identified as the gunman, may get the death penalty after he was indicted 33 federal counts.
